The lion's mane mushroom (Hericium erinaceus) is growing in popularity. Not surprisingly, this mushroom has a beneficial effect on both the body and the brain. Why? Hericium contains many biostimulants, including essential amino acids. Among other mushrooms, Hericium stands out for its high potassium content. Soplum also contains numerous polysaccharides and polypeptides.
Lion's mane, grows on the trunks of dead beech trees in deciduous and mixed forests, especially in the Bieszczady and Pieniny Mountains. In Poland, all lion's mane species are under complete protection. Outside the country, it can often be found in Asian countries, where it is also cultivated. Particularly valued in China and Japan, is not only gaining recognition for its beneficial effects on the body, but also for its culinary and gastronomic qualities. The taste of this mushroom is compared to crab meat, shrimp or other seafood.
