Active form of coenzyme Q10

Ubiquinol CoQ10 is an active form of coenzyme Q10, which has an important function in every cell of our body.

Coenzyme Q10 is a naturally occurring component in human bodies, especially in the mitochondria - the ‘energy factories’ of cells. It is very important for the proper functioning of all cells, especially those that require large amounts of energy.

How is ubiquinol different from standard CoQ10?

Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) comes in two forms: as ubiquinone (the oxidised form) and ubiquinol (the reduced, active form).

Ubiquinol is the only fat-soluble antioxidant synthesised in the body that can continuously regenerate from the oxidised form (ubiquinone) to the reduced form (ubiquinol) thanks to enzymes.

Ubiquinol is directly involved in cellular energy production processes. It is a form that is more easily absorbed by the body compared to ubiquinone, which must first be converted to ubiquinol in the body in order to be used.

Effects of CoQ10 Ubiquinone

The human body produces many important substances that begin to decline with age. This is not only the case with hyaluronic acid, but also with coenzyme Q10. It is therefore worth supplying it externally, e.g. with dietary supplements. Ubiquinol stimulates energy production in the mitochondria. Ubiquinol supports the energy production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) in cells — the body’s primary energy carrier—thereby promoting proper bodily function.

Made in Japan

Important!

Due to the confusion regarding the use of carrageenan in dietary supplements, we clarify as follows:

The scientific division of Kaneka in Japan, which is the ONLY manufacturer of Coenzyme Q10 in the world in the form of UBICHINOL (or Ubiquinol), reports as follows:
Some reports indicate that carrageenan (sometimes described on many supplement labels as E407) is an additive suspected of being linked to cancer formation. These reports are the result of studies conducted only on rodents that were given SUPERIOR amounts of carrageenan. Moreover, no toxicity was found in "higher" animals such as monkeys. For this reason, not even a maximum permissible daily intake has been determined.

Therefore, the International Expert Committee on Food Additives concludes that carrageenan contained in the amounts that are used in dietary supplements is ABSOLUTELY SAFE FOR HUMANS.

Additional information:

Note again that the Japanese company Kaneka is the ONLY supplier of ubiquinol in the world, so every company selling this coenzyme is supplied from the same source. However, not every distribution company fully discloses the composition of the ubiquinol it sells. This is a matter of fairness to the customer.
